We have the solution for novel encapsulation technologies

Inorganic materials receive increasing interest as components and major formulations constituents for bio-molecules and microorganisms. Sol-gel technology is broadly recognized as a versatile synthetic approach to colloidal inorganic materials, with the perspective on potential hydrosol and hydrogel matrices for encapsulation.

CaptiGel technology offers:

For paints:
UV resistance. colour reflecting particles
Mould resistance and continuous transparent varnish

Slow release of nutrients/fertilizers in forestry and agriculture

Shell resistance in marine applications

Encapsulation, protection and release of biomolecules in biotech

About Us

CaptiGel has a unique patented technology platform for biocompatible encapsulation and surface coating with collaborative development of new and existing products

CaptiGel was founded in 2009 based on the research of encapsulation of chemical and biological materials. CaptiGel is offering solutions to customers who have a need of controlled delay release of encapsulated materials and/or ligands. Possible applications are viruses, microorganisms, seeds and plant tissues, nutrients, dyes, pharmacological agents, etc. CaptiGel has developed a prototype in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. Our customers are primarily in pharmaceutical-, cosmetics-, agricultural- and forestry industries.

Benefits of the unique CaptiGel technology:
  • Novel encapsulation and surface coating technology
  • Biodegradable and Biocompatible
  • Controlled release of the active encapsulated material
  • UV-adsorption without photochemical side-effects
  • Based on inexpensive and common raw materials
  • Unique protective abilities
